Fulfilling fox requests at the Tatsuhime Shrine is a core part of building the Hermit Social Link in Persona 4 Golden. Among these side quests, Quest 42, titled "I Wish for Love," challenges players to play matchmaker for a shy girl standing near the Yasogami High School entrance. Completing this quest requires specific dialogue choices and multiple days of interaction to help her overcome personal anxieties.

Initiating Quest 42 at the Shrine

To begin Quest 42, players must first accept the wish from the fox at Tatsuhime Shrine after reaching Hermit Rank 7. Once the quest is active, head to Yasogami High School and locate the timid girl standing near the shoe lockers in the 1F hallway. Speaking with her reveals her secret crush and initiates the multi-step process needed to resolve her dilemma.

Navigating the Dialogue Choices and Action Steps

Helping the girl requires choosing dialogue options that build her confidence without overwhelming her emotions. After the initial conversation, you will need to locate the male student she has feelings for, who is typically found on the 2F hallway near the classroom stairs. Relaying key information between both students across separate days is essential for unlocking the correct responses that move the narrative forward.

Keeping up with daily gaming news can help players discover additional tips for optimizing daily schedules in classic RPGs. For this quest, patience is required as you must wait for the girl to process your advice before returning the following day. Select supportive dialogue choices that encourage her to speak honestly to ensure a positive resolution.

Reporting Back to the Fox for Rewards

Once you successfully facilitate the conversation between the two students, return to the school hallway to confirm that the girl has confessed her feelings. With the request fulfilled, visit the Tatsuhime Shrine during the day or evening to report your success to the fox. Completing Quest 42 grants a significant boost to your Hermit Social Link, bringing you one step closer to maxing out the arcana.
